Disclosure for NOW-TEL Customers

1) All new NOW-TEL customers who sign up for Term Agreements should be aware of the following:

Program discounts will begin appearing on the second or third billing statement, and will continue monthly for the entire length of the term agreed upon.

Currently Voice over IP telephony sytems are not subject to FCC taxes and other regulatory surcharges, you will not find these charges on your monthly phone bill. We do not anticipate this situation to last indefinitely, if and when the regulatory environment changes and we must bill for these The NOW-TEL billing system will calculate your taxes before the program discount is applied. To prevent you from paying too much tax, NOW-TEL will credit your account with the full amount of excess taxes through periodic credits on your bill. These credits will begin appearing a few billing cycles after the program discounts and will continue until the issue is resolved. The result will be that through these credits you will receive your full discount and will pay taxes on the discounted amount for your NOW-TEL program.

After you receive your bill, please feel free to contact any NOW-TEL representative or your sales representative and we will be happy to further explain how your credits were applied.

2) Disclosure for acquisitions – This applies only to customers who are switching to NOW-TEL from another local exchange carrier:

Your first bill may be larger than normal. NOW-TEL bills one month in advance for service, and depending on when your service is switched to NOW-TEL, you will be charged for a pro-rated month’s usage as well.

Although NOW-TEL strives to limit any disruption to your business, there is a small risk of temporary service interruption when converting from a local exchange carrier to NOW-TEL.

The re-acquisition process takes approximately 3 – 6 weeks to complete.

3) Unlimited Domestic LD Terms and Conditions

Available in all states
Unlimited is a plan priced by the package line size offering unlimited 1+ domestic usage
Customers with auto-dialers & call centers are not eligible
Requires a NOW-TEL local service agreement.
Voice One Term plan is NOT required and term plan discounts DO NOT apply to Domestic, Toll Free or International usage
Must PIC and LPIC to NOW-TEL.
Call detail is not provided for Domestic Usage, but it is provided on Toll Free and International usage
The plan may not be used to place calls to on-line or internet access services or for any usage other than person-to-person voice calls (No data usage)
Single fax-to-fax applications are eligible, however broadcast fax transmissions are prohibited

If the customer’s usage exceeds by 10 times the average usage of all customers on the plan in the customers state, the subscriber may be charged an additional fee of $50 per month per line, or may be offered another plan.
